1. In short

• No accounts for children. The parent creates their children's profiles inside their own account.
• We collect nothing from the child. No email, phone, photos, voice recordings or location.
• No ads, no tracking analytics, no comments, no outbound links and no chat in the Kids section.
• Every kids episode needs two sign-offs before release: an editor's and our compliance lead's.
• You are in control: edit or delete profiles, or change the PIN, at any time.

2. How the Kids section works

2.1 In the app:

• The account holder opens the Kids section. They must be 18 or over and the child's parent or guardian, and confirm this at setup.
• They set a 4–6 digit PIN, then create a profile for each child.
• Leaving the Kids section requires the PIN, so the child cannot reach the rest of the app.

2.2 On the website: the kids pages can be browsed without an account. They load no analytics or advertising tools and show no comments or outbound links.

2.3 Content: the Kids section shows only works from the «NovelLab AI Kids» channel. The studio team produces them, and each episode needs an editor's sign-off and a compliance sign-off before release. No user content appears there.

3. What we keep, all of it provided by the parent

4. What we never collect

• We never create an account for a child, or ask a child for an email, phone number or date of birth.
• We do not ask for, or accept, photos, video or voice recordings of children.
• We do not collect location or contacts.
• The Kids section has no comments, no chat, and no fields where a child types free text.
• We do not record viewing history for kids profiles on our servers.

5. Viewing and statistics

5.1 No analytics events, and no viewing data that identifies the child or the device, are sent from kids profiles.

5.2 We count plays of kids episodes as totals only: a counter goes up by one, and no device or child identifier is stored.

5.3 If a kids work has a sponsor, the sponsor receives only these totals.

6. Ads and sponsors

• No ads in the Kids section.
• A sponsor of a kids work may be shown by name and logo only, with the «برعاية» label.
• No calls to buy, no links, no QR codes, and no lines urging a child to ask parents for something.

7. Notifications and polls

7.1 We do not send notifications to the child. Notifications go to the account holder, according to their settings.

7.2 If we run a kids poll, the vote counts once for the parent's account, and nothing about the child is stored with it.

8. Third parties

8.1 We use no third-party analytics or advertising tools in the Kids section.

8.2 Data is stored with our hosting provider, Microsoft Azure, in the United States.

8.3 If the app sends technical crash reports, they do not include kids profile data.

10. Your rights as the parent

10.1 From the Kids settings you can:

• view, edit and delete your children's profiles,
• change the PIN,
• set screen time.

10.2 Deleting your account deletes all kids profiles with it.

10.3 To get a copy of your children's profile data, or have it deleted, write to legal@novellab.ai from your account email. We reply within 30 days.

10.4 Deleted profiles leave our systems within 30 days, and our backups within 35 days.

11. Legal framework

11.1 Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL): we process a child's profile data with the consent of the child's guardian.

11.2 US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Accounts are for people aged 13 and over, and if we learn that a younger child has an account, we delete it.
