This version takes effect on 3 October 2026 for every account. Existing accounts are asked to accept it on their next visit.
1.1 NovelLab.ai LLC, a Wyoming (USA) limited liability company ("we", "us"), runs novellab.ai and the NovelLab apps (the "Service") under the name NovelLab Studio.
1.2 By using the Service or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.3 The following are part of these Terms: the Privacy Policy, the Kids Privacy Notice, the Community Guidelines, the Acceptable Use Policy, the AI Transparency Statement and the Sponsorship Disclosure Policy. If one of them conflicts with these Terms, these Terms win, except on personal data, where the Privacy Policy and the Kids Privacy Notice win.
2.1 NovelLab is a studio that produces and publishes its own original works: vertical short drama series, short films, webtoon and manga, audio and text stories, and «NovelLab AI Kids», a channel for children. The same episode may be offered in more than one format.
2.2 You can watch, read and listen for free, with or without an account.
2.3 Creating works on the Service is limited to studio members, meaning our team and the collaborators we invite under separate contracts. These Terms give you no right to create stories, images, voices or video on the Service.
2.4 We may add, change or stop features, and may label some as "beta". Beta features are provided as-is and may change without notice.
3.1 Without an account, you can browse and watch published works.
3.2 Accounts are for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or guardian agrees to your use of the Service.
3.3 Children under 13 do not have accounts. They watch only through the Kids section of a parent's or guardian's account (§11).
3.4 You sign in with Google, Apple, an email link or a password. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secret and for all activity on your account. Tell us at once about any unauthorised use.
3.5 Accounts are personal and cannot be sold or transferred. We may refuse or suspend an account that breaks these Terms.
4.1 We sell nothing to viewers: no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no Gems. We do not show ads from ad networks.
4.2 Some of our works are funded by sponsors, and this is clearly labelled on the work (§9).
4.3 If we ever add a paid feature, it will not be forced on you. We will show its terms clearly and ask for your explicit agreement before any payment.
5.1 The works, characters and marks on the Service belong to us or our licensors.
5.2 We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to watch, read and listen to the works inside the Service only. If the app lets you download for offline viewing, the file stays inside the app.
5.3 You may not copy, record, re-upload, publicly screen or commercially use the works, or use them to train AI models.
5.4 You may share the official links and share cards the Service provides, and quote short extracts for comment or criticism where the law allows.
6.1 With an account you can follow series, turn on «ذكّرني» (Remind me), keep your progress (Continue Watching), vote, comment, rate, review, react, and talk to characters.
6.2 We send service notifications (for example, when an episode you asked to be reminded about is out) by email, in the app, or as push notifications after you allow them. You control them in Settings.
6.3 "Talk to the character" is an AI conversation with a fictional character. Replies are fiction, may be wrong, and are not watched live by a person. Do not share sensitive personal information in it. It is not available in the Kids section.
7.1 We may run polls on what we make next, or on what a character does at a turning point. Voting is free and needs an account.
7.2 One vote per account. You may change your vote while the poll is open. Results appear after you vote or when the poll closes.
7.3 A poll result is an important input, not a promise. We may not produce the winning option for legal, safety, cost or sponsor reasons. If that happens, we will say so.
7.4 Polls are not contests, draws or gambling. There are no prizes and nothing to buy.
7.5 We remove invalid votes, such as votes from multiple accounts, bots, or votes that were bought or rewarded, and may act against the accounts involved.
7.6 If you arrived through a partner link, we record that your vote came through that link. The partner does not learn who you are (§9.3).
8.1 What you write in comments, reviews and ratings is yours.
8.2 You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show, copy and distribute it on the Service and in share cards. You also allow us to quote short extracts without your username in the aggregated reports we give sponsors and partners, and in "what viewers said" features of the same work.
8.3 The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies in reports already delivered and in backups until they cycle out.
8.4 You are responsible for what you post. It must follow the Guidelines and applicable law, including the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We may hide or remove any content, but we are not obliged to monitor everything.
9.1 Sponsored works carry the label «برعاية» / "Presented by" and the sponsor's name, as set out in the Sponsorship Disclosure Policy. The studio keeps final editorial control.
9.2 Sponsors never receive your personal data. They receive reports with aggregate numbers only, such as views, completion rates and vote counts.
9.3 Partner links. Celebrities and creators ("partners") may share special links that tell us a visit, view or vote came through them. We keep the link code in a cookie for 30 days. The partner sees aggregate numbers only and never learns who you are. A partner may be paid, and must make clear that their post is an advertisement.
10.1 We make our works with AI tools under human creative direction, and our team approves every episode before release. Each work carries an AI label and a "How this was made" card (see the AI Transparency Statement).
10.2 Our works are fiction unless we say otherwise. Historical and heritage content is checked against sources and by a specialist before release, but the Service gives no legal, medical, financial or professional advice, and mistakes can happen.
10.3 If you spot an error, tell us with the report button or at support@novellab.ai.
11.1 «NovelLab AI Kids» is a section inside a parent's account. It opens with a PIN set by the account holder, who must be 18 or over and the child's parent or guardian.
11.2 Each child has a profile with a display name, an age band and an avatar only. We do not create accounts for children and do not ask children for any information.
11.3 The Kids section has no comments, no ads, no outbound links, no tracking analytics and no character chat.
11.4 The parent is responsible for supervising the child's use and for keeping the PIN secret. The Kids Privacy Notice governs data in this section.
12.1 Your account continues as a viewer account with every feature in §6.
12.2 Creation closed on 3 October 2026. The creation tools are now for the studio team only.
12.3 Exports. Story exports ended on 3 October 2026, when the stories were deleted (§12.6). You can still download your account data from Settings → Privacy → Download my data.
12.4 Published stories left public shelves on 3 October 2026 and were deleted with their comments and ratings. That day, the publishing licence and the promotional licence (§7 and §7.1 of version 1.7) ended for any new use. We do not recall promotional posts made before then, but we will delete any post about your story from our official accounts if you ask.
12.5 Your stories stay yours. We will not move any of your stories into our channels without a separate written agreement with you.
12.6 Deletion of creator data. On 3 October 2026 we deleted every story created on the platform before that day, with its drafts, characters, images, audio and video. Backup copies cycle out within 35 days after that.
12.7 Gems and subscriptions.
12.8 The referral and affiliate programmes have ended. Amounts owed to affiliates are settled under their agreement, by separate notice.
12.9 Printing. We take no new print orders and will complete the orders we already accepted.
12.10 If you do not want to continue, delete your account at any time in Settings.
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Key prohibitions include manipulating polls, re-uploading our works, automated scraping, harassing others, and impersonating NovelLab or its partners.
The Community Guidelines explain how to report, how we decide, and how to appeal. We never suspend or close an account by automated decision alone; a person on our team makes that decision.
15.1 If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, send a notice to legal@novellab.ai. It must include: the protected work; where the infringing content is; your contact details; a good-faith statement; and a statement that the information is accurate and that you own the right or are authorised to act for the owner.
15.2 The person whose content was removed may send a counter-notice. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
We handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy and the Kids Privacy Notice.
The Service relies on other providers, such as Google and Apple for sign-in, the app stores, and the social platforms where we post our clips. Their terms apply when you use their services, and we are not responsible for them.
18.1 We may change the Service or these Terms. We will tell you about any material change at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email or in the Service.
18.2 If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you accept the change. We may ask for your explicit agreement before you continue. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will run without interruption or error, or that AI-produced content is free of mistakes.
20.1 To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits.
20.2 Our total liability is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or (b) USD 100.
20.3 Nothing in this section limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
To the extent the law allows, you will compensate us for claims that arise from your breach of these Terms or from what you post.
22.1 Before any formal step, we will both try to settle the dispute informally for 30 days. Start by sending a description to legal@novellab.ai.
22.2 If it is not settled, it goes to binding individual arbitration by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Rules, seated in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and it may be held remotely. No class actions.
22.3 You can opt out of arbitration by writing to legal@novellab.ai within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
22.4 Small-claims actions and urgent injunctions remain open to both sides. Nothing here removes rights you have under the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
23.1 You can delete your account at any time in Settings. The account and its data are deleted on the schedule in the Privacy Policy.
23.2 We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms. Sections 5, 8, 15, 19–22 and 24 survive.
24.1 Governing law: the laws of the State of Wyoming, subject to §22.
24.2 Transfer: we may transfer these Terms to an affiliate, including a Saudi company we set up to run the Service, or to a buyer of the Service, and we will tell you if we do. You may not transfer them.
24.3 Language: if versions differ, the English text governs.
24.4 If any clause is invalid, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
